Welcome to Myths and Legends! In this course, we will explore the world of mythology and how myth informs or sheds light on the human experience. We will begin by developing a formal definition of mythology and how the study of it is different from other academic disciplines. A successful student in this class will have critically examined her/his own thinking to determine how and to what extent myth operates in their lives. Please note that in addition to the major assessments listed for each of the following units, there will be quizzes and exams on reading and class notes and discussions.
